Lahn wins GOP governor’s nomination

Zach Lahn narrowly won the Republican nomination for governor Tuesday.

He won 37.65 percent of the vote, or 80,765 votes, according to unofficial election returns released by Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate.

He edged out U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra, who won 36.88 percent or 79,113 votes.

Adam Steen won 14.49 percent, or 31,087 votes.

Brad Sherman won 7 percent, or 15,076 votes.

State Rep. Eddie Adams rounded out the field with 3.59 percent or 7,694 votes.
