The downtown location of GreenState Credit Union, 1207 Central Ave., will become the financial institution’s only facility in Fort Dodge this summer. The credit union has announced plans to close its branch at Second Avenue North and 27th Street.
GreenState Credit Union announced it will be closing its North 27th Street Crossroads location in late July and consolidating Fort Dodge operations at its downtown office located at 1207 Central Ave.
This move is an effort to provide the best value to its member-owners, as well as to increase efficiency, the credit union reported.
Craig Schlienz, the credit union’s market president, noted this move will allow GreenState to streamline operations. He said all staff members will transfer to the Central Avenue location.
“As an organization, we are focused on taking a holistic approach to our members’ financial needs,” he said.”The opportunity to bring our three Crossroads employees to our downtown location will encourage more collaboration among our team and allow us to more completely and more efficiently serve our member-owners.”
The office at 1207 Central Ave. in downtown Fort Dodge is a full-service branch which offers drive-up banking, night depository, Interactive Teller Machine and 24/7 ATM access. Services offered at this location include checking, deposits, mortgages, auto loans, credit cards, investments, trust and commercial services.
For questions regarding the upcoming move, please contact the credit union at 515-955-0401.
Green State Credit Union is the latest financial institution in Fort Dodge to announce the closure of one of its locations this year. Well Fargo has already closed its branch at Fifth Avenue South and 25th Street. Northwest Bank has announced plans to close its branch at First Avenue South and Eighth Street this summer.
