BANCROFT – Three people were found dead in a Bancroft home Friday morning, according to a press release from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.

Officers with the Bancroft Police Department responded to 524 S. Morehouse St. in Bancroft, a short time after 8:13 a.m. when it was reported that two people were found deceased.

When officers arrived, they found a third deceased person.

Officials have not yet released the names of the deceased. Officials said there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is handling the investigation, the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Department reported.
