FDSH to host Veterans Day celebration

In honor of the men and women who served and continue to serve our country, the students at Fort Dodge Senior High want to say thank you. FDSH will honor and salute our heroes, our local veterans, during a Veteran’s Day program Nov. 8, at 1:30 p.m. in the high school gym.

Area veterans and their families are invited to this program. Parking will be available on the west side of the high school in the auxiliary gym parking lot. Veterans are asked to wear their uniforms if possible.

Chili and cinnamon rolls will be served to veterans and their families in the cafeteria from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

“This is an opportunity for our students at Fort Dodge Senior High to honor and thank the individuals in our community who served our country and fought for our freedoms,” said Matt Elsbecker, FDSH assistant principal. “We hope area veterans will join us for this special program in their honor.”

Questions may be directed to Elsbecker at 574-5752 or melsbecker@fdschools.org.
