The Pub & Grub Comedy Tour at Fort Dodge Opera House Dec. 13

The Pub & Grub Comedy Tour is coming to the Fort Dodge Opera House, 1 Museum Road, at 8 p.m. on Dec. 13. Seating is at 7 p.m. The show stars comedian Derek Luna and co-satrs comedian Katie Still. Earlybird tickets are $20 per person and may be purchased at the Fort Trading Post or online at BarComicTix.com. Tickets at the door are $25. VIP tables for eight are available for $200. For mature audiences only.

FDPL book club meets Monday

The Fort Dodge Public Library book club is meeting on Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the library, 424 Central Ave. We will be discussing the book, “First Lie Wins,” by Ashley Elston. Adults ages 18 and above are welcome to attend. The January book will be “A Fever in the Heartland,” by Timothy Egan and will be available for pickup at the meeting on Monday. St. Edmond craft and vendor show is Dec. 6

The St. Edmond craft and vendor show is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 6, at St. Edmond High School, 2220 Fourth Ave. N. There will be over 100 vendors and handmade crafters from all over the state of Iowa showcasing an array of items including baked goods, candies, holiday decor, boutiques, antiques and clothing. Door prizes, pictures with Santa and gift wrapping will be available. A full concession stand serving breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks will be open. There will also be a bake sale and hot chocolate bar. Admission is $5.

Holiday Market vendor and food fair is today

The first annual Holiday Market vendor and food fair is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Pavilion Sports Complex, 260 S. 27th St. There will be a variety of vendors, food and drinks, live music and entertainment. Santa’s grand arrival will be at 10 a.m. with a Santa meet and greet from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a food drive for The Lord’s Cupboard. Food and cash donations will be accepted. Admission to the market is free.

YWCA holding annual Adopt A Family event

The YWCA, 826 First Ave. N., is holding its annual Adopt A Family event now to help families have a Merry Christmas. The mission is to provide every person, young and old, at the Y a wonderful Christmas that most people are lucky to experience every year.
