Coffee and Conservation is today

Webster County Conservation is holding Coffee and Conservation at 10 a.m. today at the Matt Cosgrove River’s Edge Discovery Center, 20 N. First St. Each month there will be an informal discussion about a variety of conservation/recreation topics in Webster County. Coffee and light snacks will be provided. The topic is wintering birds. Learn all about Iowa’s wintering birds, setting up wintering bird stations for success and the importance of food plots.

FD Noon Lions Santa Christmas party is Tuesday

The Fort Dodge Noon Lions Club is hosting An Evening with Santa Christmas party from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Rides Banquet Center, 725 S. 31st St. There will be free pictures with Santa, activities for kids, silent auction and some refreshments. This free family event is open to the public.

Jamie Aaron Kelley Christmas tour in Harcourt rescheduled to Dec. 20

HARCOURT — The Lost Grove Community Center, 116 Larch St., Harcourt, is hosting the Jamie Aaron Kelley fourth annual Christmas Tour at 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at the center. It is rescheduled due to winter weather. This is a family-friendly Christmas show with a huge production screen backdrop to give the audience an immersive experience. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. A freewill offering will be accepted for the Lost Grove Community Center preservation fund.

FDPL adult board game night is Monday

The Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., is holding board games for adults from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday in the large meeting room. There will be a wide varietty of both classic and new board and card games, but those attending are welcome to bring their own game also. With plenty of games to choose from (and tables for multiple games at once), there’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. The game nights will be held the third Monday of every month.
