KC fish fry is Friday

The Knights of Columbus will hold a fish fry from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Holy Trinity Parish Center, 402 N. Eighth St. The menu includes fried fish, baked fish, shrimp, or combo and grill cheese sandwiches, served with baked potato or french fries, coleslaw, roll, ice cream, coffee and lemonade. Dine in or carry out is available. The cost is $13 for fish or shrimp, $15 for combo, $7 for grilled cheese and $7 for kids ages 12 and under.

Reetz fundraiser will be held today

A fundraiser for Chuck Reetz will be held from 4 to 11 p.m. today at the Rides Banquet Center, 723 S. 21st St. Music by Spencer Suchan. Reetz spent months in the hospital and three weeks at Friendship Haven due to lung and heart problems.

KYL to hold children’s events

WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library Children’s Department will hold a variety of events in March. Due to early outs on Tuesday and Thursday, and Spring Break on March 9 to 13, regular scheduled programs are modified. Early Out Movies — Patrons ages 8 years through 12th grade are invited to relax and watch a movie at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday in the Teen Area. Otho UMC to hold pancake breakfast

OTHO — The Otho United Methodist Church will hold its annual pancake breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to noon on March 7 in the church basement. Menu includes pancakes, eggs, sausage and drinks for a freewill donation.

Johnson — 80th birthday

Paula Johnson, of Fort Dodge, celebrated her 80th birthday on Monday. Cards may be sent to her at 1038 N. 24th St., Fort Dodge, IA 50501. Her family includes Amy Bestick-Clark, Becky Slawson, Andrea Emerson, Jon Johnson, Goldie Mumper and Bruce Johnson. She has many grandchildren. Her husband, Bruce Johnson, is deceased. Paula Bestick was born on Feb. 23, 1946. She worked at Trinity Hospital for 46 years.
