KYL announces April events for children

WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library Children’s Department will hold a variety of events in April. No School Movie Matinee — Patrons ages 8 years old through 12th grade (or with an adult) are invited to relax and watch a movie at 1:30 p.m. on April 29 in the Teen Area. Wednesdays movie will be “Garfield — A Tail of Two Kitties.” Movie length is one hour, 26 minutes. Bring a friend and popcorn will be provided. LEGO Build (Children’s Department) — Each Monday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. throughout April there is the opportunity for kids to test their building skills. ...

GriefShare group begins April 7

First Covenant Church, 201 Ave. H, will offer a 13 week GriefShare support group from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning April 7 at the church. It is designed to offer hope and healing after the death of a loved one. The group will consist of a video seminar, group discussion, and a personal workbook. All are welcome. KC fish fry is Friday

The Knights of Columbus will hold a fish fry from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Holy Trinity Parish Center, 402 N. Eighth St. The menu includes fried fish, baked fish, shrimp, or combo and grill cheese sandwiches, served with baked potato or french fries, coleslaw, roll, ice cream, coffee and lemonade. Dine in or carry out is available. The cost is $13 for fish or shrimp, $15 for combo, $7 for grilled cheese and $7 for kids ages 12 and under.

First Covenant offering parenting class

First Covenant Church, 201 Ave. H, will hold a parenting class entitled “Restoring and Maintaining Good Relationships With Our Children” at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
