CDA meeting is June 11, RSVP requested

The Catholic Daughters Court 216 New Officer Initiation Mass will be held at 6 p.m. on June 11 at Holy Trinity Church (NOTE location change for Mass). Dinner will follow at the Corpus Christi Center immediately after Mass with CDA scholarship recipients and their families invited as our special guests, The evening will conclude with our business meeting and memorial for deceased members. Decoration rules for city cemeteries announced

Grave site decorations will be permitted in the Fort Dodge city-owned cemeteries three days prior to Memorial Day, according to an announcement from the Public Areas Department. Decorations will be removed and disposed of seven days after Memorial Day. The three cemeteries are Oakland Cemetery on North 15th Street, North Lawn Cemetery on North 15th Street, and Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery at Fifth Avenue South and 32nd Street. King Band to perform on Memorial Day

The Karl L. King Municipal Band of Fort Dodge will perform at 10 a.m. Monday at the annual Memorial Day ceremonies at the Terry Moehnke Veterans Memorial Park on the northwest corner of the Kennedy Park/Badger Lake complex, 1386 National Ave. Parking and shuttle bus service will be available this year, picking up people parked at the Community Orchard, beginning at 9 a.m., and running continuously.
