‘Santa for Seniors’ time is here

Elderbridge Agency on Aging and Upper Des Moines Opportunity have partnered for “Santa for Seniors.” 2025 has been a difficult year for all of us, with things ever-changing. As the holiday season approaches, it has brought even more isolation to our seniors. Seniors in our community need our support, now more than ever. In some cases, senior in our area are living on a very limited income and may not be with their family at Christmas. VFW holding turkey dinner on Nov. 8

VFW Post is holding a turkey dinner on Nov. 8 at the VFW, 518 S. 29th St., serving from 4:30 p.m. until gone. The menu is turkey, dressing, real mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, dessert and coffee. Tickets are $12 per person, dine in or carryout. Everyone is welcome.

Fort Dodge Women’s Connection brunch set for Nov. 11

Fort Dodge Women’s Connection will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 11 at Tea Thyme, 2021 Sixth Ave. S. BADGER — Badger Lutheran Church, 127 Second Ave. S.E., Badger, is holding a Norwegian supper on Nov. 8 at the church. The supper is dine in with reserved seating times of 4 to 5 p.m., 5 to 6 p.m, and 6 to 7 p.m. The menu is lutefisk, lefse, potatoes, meatballs, green beans, cranberries, flotbrod, gumme, fruit soup, spritz, kringla and krumkae. Clairvoyant at Fort Museum Opera House on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1

The Fort Museum Opera House is hosting Clairvoyant Dr. Rebecca Foster on Friday and Nov. 1 in the Opera House. Dr. Foster will do gallery readings from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday and Nov. 1. Cost is $32.29 per person. From 8:30 to 11 p.m. on Friday, Dr. Foster will do a VIP Investigation with limited seating for $52.93 per person.
