FDPL Children’s Department holding special Wednesday Adventure

Join the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., in the library’s main space at 10 a.m. Wednesday for a special adventure with Dino O’Dell, musician and storyteller. O’Dell will be guiding us on a journey across Planet Earth through engaging animations, music and stories. This exciting program will bring to life the unique cultures and geography of all seven continents. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Gowrie music festival is June 29

GOWRIE — The Gowrie Development Commission presents the Fort Dodge Area Symphony Summer Strings Music Festival at 1 p.m. June 29 in the Gowrie City Park. The festival will also feature Spencer Suchan. Bring a lawn chair for this free event. Food and beverage stands will be available. Freewill donations are appreciated.

Harcourt Library 75th anniversary is Friday and Saturday

HARCOURT — Harcourt Public Library’s 75th anniversary open house is July 27 and 28 in Harcourt. A silent auction starts at 6:30 p.m. July 27, followed by a DJ bingo fundraiser from 7 to 9 p.m. and an outdoor movie starting at 9:30 p.m., all at the Harcourt Community Center, Harcourt. Bingo cards are $10 per card (four games) or $15 for two cards. The open house at the library is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 28 with a book and bake sale starting at 10 a.m. Proceeds will go to the Harcourt Public Library for new shelving and interior improvements.

Fort Dodge Women’s Connection brunch set for July 8, reservations requested

Fort Dodge Women’s Connection will meet at 9:30 a.m. Jully 8 at Tea Thyme, 2021 Sixth Ave. S. Heartland Museum 25th anniversary open house today

CLARION — The Heartland Museum, 119 Ninth St. S.W., Clarion, is holding a 25th anniversary open house from 5 to 7 p.m. today. The theme is “Thru the Decades.” Those attending may wear their favorite decades outfit. Food and beverages will be served. Admission is free.

Sonshine Singers present Summer Sing on June 29
