Smeltzer Learning Farm to host field day Aug. 19

OTHO — The Smeltzer Charitable Trust will host a field day from 5 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 19 at the Smeltzer Learning Farm, rural Otho. The field day will focus on the idea of using carbon markets and green ammonia to improve the bottom line for landowners. Camp Algona open house honors Dwaine Lighter, Veteran of the Year

ALGONA — Camp Algona holds its annual open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Museum, 114 N. Thorington St., Algona. The open house is held in conjunction with the Algona Chamber of Commerce “Party in the Park” which is the same evening on the lawn of the Carnegie Library.
