KYL September adult library monthly program scheduled

WEBSTER CITY – Kendall Young Library will be having adult programs throughout the month of September. Friends of KYL announce book sale

WEBSTER CITY – Friends of Kendall Young Library is hosting its annual Fall Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 27. This sale will have a wide collection of children’s and adult books along with DVDs and audiobooks. Make plans to attend. The Friends of Kendall Young Library bookstore, “The Book Place,” 914 Willson Ave. (corner of Bank Street and Willson Avenue), offers a weekly place where patrons can look for books to purchase. This shop is open on Thursdays from noon to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

KYL celebrates libary card month

WEBSTER CITY – Kendall Young Library will be celebrating library card month with special sign-up/renewal prizes and lots of great events for all ages. One Card…Endless Possibilities. Adult/teen department — Each new card or renewal will receive a KYL reward throughout the month of September. Children’s department — Throughout the month of September, each juvenile patron will receive a book with a new card or renewal.

Weekly Programs Wild Things (TK-2nd) will meet on Tuesdays from 3:45 to 5 p.m. in September. This time will offer a variety of stories and activities each week. Join us for all the adventures. CDA meeting Sept. 11, RSVP requested

The Catholic Daughters Court 216 meeting will be held on Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Corpus Christi Center beginning with Mass at 6 p.m. followed by dinner, guest speaker from the Fort Dodge Police Department to talk about scams and a business meeting. Immanual Lutheran Church holding steak sandwich supper on Sept. 7

ROCKWELL CITY — Immanual Lutheran Church, 3010 270th St., Rockwell City, is holding its annual steak sandwich supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at the church. The menu includes a ribeye steak sandwich or hamburger, with cheesy potatoes, beans, dessert and a drink for $10. A children’s hamburger meal is available for $5 for children ages 9 and under. Takeouts will be available by calling 712-297-7708. Funds raised will go to Lutheran Women’s Missionary League projects. The church is located five miles east of Rockwell City on Calhoun County Road D36.
