CDA to meet April 9, RSVP requested

The Catholic Daughters Court 216 meeting will be held on April 9 at the Corpus Christi Center, 402 N. Eighth St. It will begin with Mass at 6 p.m. followed by dinner, speaker CDA Sister Paula Templemeyer to talk about her trip to Medjugorje, Fatima, and Lourdes, and a business meeting. Members who would like to attend, please RSVP for dinner by calling Kitty Nilles at 515-206-5496 by noon on April 7. We always welcome new members. GriefShare group begins April 7

First Covenant Church, 201 Ave. H, will offer a 13 week GriefShare support group from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning April 7 at the church. It is designed to offer hope and healing after the death of a loved one. The group will consist of a video seminar, group discussion, and a personal workbook. All are welcome. Lions Club to hold pancake breakfast

Fort Dodge Lions Club will hold its pancake breakfast fundraiser from 7 to 11 a.m. today at Kandiland Daycare Center, 821 S. 25th St. Join Leo Lion and Thumper Bunny for photos, fun, and breakfast. The menu includes pancakes, link sausage, scrambled eggs, milk, juice or coffee for a freewill donation. Proceeds will help fund local projects.

Zion Lutheran invites grant applications

GOWRIE — The Zion Endowed Benevolence Team of Zion Lutheran Church, Gowrie, is soliciting grant applications for 2026. The purpose of the Endowed Benevolence Program is to extend and enrich the kingdom of God by witnessing in word and deed to people in need both directly and through organized efforts or organizations, especially those not having their own planned giving programs. KC fish fry is Friday

The Knights of Columbus will hold a fish fry from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Holy Trinity Parish Center, 402 N. Eighth St. The menu includes fried fish, baked fish, shrimp, or combo and grill cheese sandwiches, served with baked potato or french fries, coleslaw, roll, ice cream, coffee and lemonade. Dine in or carry out is available. The cost is $13 for fish or shrimp, $15 for combo, $7 for grilled cheese and $7 for kids ages 12 and under.

Iowa Scenic Views by Foot with Tyler Sullivan at the Fort Dodge Public Library

The Fort Dodge Public Library will host a free program with Tyler Sullivan from Iowa Scenic Views by Foot at 10 a.m. on April 4 at the library, 434 Central Ave. Sullivan has been to almost all Iowa counties, and has been to 1,300 cities across the state. He runs at least a mile in each community he visits and writes a poem for each county he visits. He has visited 500 Iowa museums in the last two years alone.
