Part of Williams Drive to be rebuilt

A section of Williams Drive near Snell-Crawford Park will be rebuilt this fall.

The reconstruction project wasn’t originally planned for this year, but engineers say the street there has deteriorated so badly something must be done.

The area to be rebuilt is from 11th Avenue North to the point where the Fort Dodge Nature Trail crosses Williams Drive. The project is expected to begin in October and be finished this year.

On Monday, the Fort Dodge City Council hired Snyder & Associates, of Ankeny, to prepare the plans for the project at a cost of $55,600.
