Equipment bought for Fort Dodge Public Works
Some machinery for the Public Works Department was purchased by the Fort Dodge City Council on Monday.
Two four-wheel drive loaders were bought from Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co., of Fort Dodge, for $286,730. They will replace machines bought in 1981 and 2002.
A backhoe was also purchased from Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. for $95,152. It will replace two backhoes. One of those was bought in 1991; the other was bought in 1994.
Ziegler Caterpillar, of Fort Dodge, offered bids of $306,540 for the loaders and $112,150 for the backhoe.
