More national spots solidified by Tritons

PELLA — The Iowa Central track and field program was in action here this past weekend at the Dutch Invitational hosted by Central College. The Tritons earned seven more national qualifiers during the meet, as four athletes scored Top-10 program bests. Janae Dawes landed two of the qualifying bids and two of those bests, as she scored spots at nationals in the long jump and the 400 hurdles. EARLHAM — The St. Edmond boys and girls track and field teams battled dropping temperatures to compete Tuesday outside for the first time this spring. Aaron Hindt led the way for the Gaels, as the junior won the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.38. He was also third in the 100 in 11.54. Several others picked up silvers, including Anna Lursen, Anthony Valles and Naomi Valles, along with the SEHS girls sprint medley relay. March Madness brought another round of memorable moments in 2026. I can truly say this is my favorite time of the entire year.
