Hendricks puts on a show again at Miller

Fort Dodge is Humboldt south for Wildcat junior Broedy Hendricks.
The top-ranked 190-pounder continued his dominance at the Don Miller Invitational, winning his third career title here on Saturday.
Hendricks (190) is 10-0 with four falls, three tech falls, a major decision, decision and injury default in his career at the Dodger gym. In his run to his third title in a row this year, the top-ranked (IAwrestle) Hendricks (16-0) won his first match by tech fall and then earned a 17-2 tech fall over Fort Dodge’s third-ranked Jesse Egli.
Hendricks pinned No. 4 Thomas Sexton of Decorah in 4:34 for gold.
In the championship match, Hendricks was fluid, setting up his shots and then attacking.
Humboldt finished seventh with 111 points. Spencer Scranton (113), Caleb Vinsand (150), Braden Downs (157) and Tate Halverson (175) were all fourth for the Wildcats.
Jaxson Kirchhoff (165) and Henry Kramer (126) were fifth. Ayden Fiengo (215), and Karson Reinhardt (132) placed sixth.
“Ater the break, we’ll have some guys move around,” Beaman said. “We have a few that are a little heavy and then we’ll balance it out.
“This tournament is a great measuring stick for us.”
Algona
The Bulldogs placed five wrestlers in the finals, coming away with all silver medals.
C.J. McGregor (144), Barrett Morgan (150), Taevyn Zinnel (165), Cael Rotert (175), and Tayten Rummel (215) all placed second.
McGregor had a fall and a decision before losing an 18-4 gold-medal match to Gavin Carolan of Decorach. Morgan had two falls before losing via pin to Ethan Sodergren of Ankeny Centennial.
Zinnel had two falls before losing a tight 17-14 decision to William Fulhart of Decorah for the title. Rotert had two pins, then lost a 13-10 SV-1 match to Campbell Jans for the title.
Rummel dropped a 7-0 decision to Colton Mouw of Sioux Center.
WEBSTER CITY
Jaysen Vankham (138) finished third for the Lynx. Vankham lost to Will Larson of Decorah in the semifinals.
Gavin Wynkoop (144) and Cody Elliott (215) took fourth for the Lynx.
EMMETSBURG
Bradyen Yates (175) placed third for the E-Hawks. He won three matches on the day. Nick Saxton (285) was also third with two victories.
