Fort Dodge junior Braxtyn Dencklau carded a career-best round of 38 to take meet medalist honors on Tuesday as the Dodger girls golf squad easily defeated Waterloo East at the Fort Dodge Country Club.

Dencklau birdied both the fourth and fifth holes on the front nine, while also parring Nos. 6, 7 and 9.

Fort Dodge had the top four counting scores. Freshman Emma Lloyd also had her best round to date as a Dodger with a 50 to secure the runner-up position. Felicity Strain (54) and Alani Crouse (56) were next in line for FDSH.

The Dodgers return to action on Tuesday at Mason City.
