CLARION — Southeast Valley stopped Clarion-Goldfield-Dows on the Cowboys’ homecoming week, pulling off a 20-13 victory. It was the second straight win for the Jaguars (2-1 overall) over the Cowboys (1-2) in the series, and their second in a row this season. Cale Vansickle and Brady Hanson both went over 100 yards. ALGONA — Defending champion Bishop Garrigan made it look easy for the second straight week. The Golden Bears (3-0 overall, 2-0 districts) cruised to a 56-7 win over Rockford (0-3, 0-1) on Friday Night. Both Trayton Cink and Tate Foertsch had two touchdowns each. Cink had scoring runs of three and 29 yards. He finished with 78 yards on the ground. Foertsch threw a 33-yard TD pass to Owen Murphy and 26-yard scoring strike to Michael Joyce. Jaguars roll past Eagles

EAGLE GROVE — Southeast Valley cruised to a 64-0 victory over Eagle Grove on Friday night. The Jaguars (1-1 overall) were led on the ground from Brady Hanson. The senior ran for 186 yards and three touchdowns. Hanson scored from seven, 55 and 72 yards out. Cale Vansickle had touchdown runs of one and 57 yards. Two in a row for Cougars

MANSON — The Manson Northwest Webster football team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 20-8 victory here Friday night over Ogden. Kamden Birkey rushed 28 times for 175 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Cougars. The senior found the end zone in the first quarter from six yards out and added his second score from 10 yards out before halftime. Logan Moline connected with Broc Patzner in the third on an 11-yard scoring strike to make it 20-0 in favor of MNW. Moline finished with 42 yards passing as Mason Anderson had two catches.
