Garrigan stays hot, advances
ALGONA — The Bishop Garrigan football team ended reign of eight-player king Remsen St. Mary’s here Friday night at Conway Field. Thanks to a trick play on offense and strong defense all night, the Golden Bears advanced to the quarterfinals with a 21-18 victory. Bishop Garrigan (9-1 overall) will host Anita-CAM back here on Thursday for a spot inside the UNI-Dome. CAM knocked off Garrigan’s district rival, West Bend-Mallard, 36-34.
