ROCKWELL CITY — Sheila Trotter, 61, died Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Paula J Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30a.m. on Wed­nes­day, July 26, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake City with Father Lynn Bruch officiating and burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lake City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City with a scripture prayer service at 7 p.m.

Sheila Lee (Hanlon) Trotter was born on January 21, 1956, in Lake City, Iowa to Leo and Dolores (Miller) Hanlon. She received her Associates degree in Nursing at St. Anthony’s Nursing School at Iowa Central and worked as a Registered Nurse at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City and also at McFarland Clinic in Rockwell City and Jefferson until her retirement in 2016. On June 15, 1974, Sheila married Bill Trotter at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake City.

Sheila is survived by her husband Bill, son Roger Trotter (Keri Martinez), daughter Leslie (Jason) Stamp, all of Rockwell City, three grandchildren, Seth, Dana and Olivia, brothers Mike (Ronda) Hanlon, David (Sue) Hanlon, and sisters Becky (Myron) Hoffmann and Pixie (Al) Hepp and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
