Nestle Purina PetCare and ShinyTop Brewing together announced a $7,500 donation to Almost Home Humane Society of North Central Iowa as a result of the recently wrapped “Raise a Pint for Pets” fundraiser. The month-long promotion saw $1 donated for every pint of beer sold—50 cents contributed by Purina and ShinyTop each—paired with additional community support to achieve this impactful total.
“Our Purina team is incredibly grateful to ShinyTop for their partnership in bringing ‘Raise A Pint’ to Fort Dodge,” said Trever Morgan, Purina Fort Dodge factory manager. “The community’s response to this program is truly humbling, and it’s rewarding to know these collective efforts are helping Almost Home continue their vital work supporting local pets.”
“We’re so thankful to Purina and ShinyTop for their support in helping care for local pets as they wait for their forever homes,” said Adella Anderson, executive director of Almost Home. “This support is crucial, and we’re moved by the community’s enthusiasm in raising a pint for Fort Dodge pets.”
Since its launch in 2017, Purina’s “Raise a Pint for Pets” program has grown to support shelters nationwide, partnering with breweries in Purina operating communities like Clinton, Iowa; Flagstaff, Arizona; and Hartwell, Georgia, among others.
Purina has operated in Fort Dodge since 1975, producing some of the most trusted brands like Friskies and Pro Plan and employing more than 275 local associates.
