Holy Trinity Parish to hold Totus Tuus Sunday through Friday

Totus Tuus is a Latin phrase meaning “totally yours,” and was the motto of Pope John Paul II. This motto signifies a True Devotion to Mary and our desire to give ourselves entirely to Jesus Christ through Mary. The mission of this summer Catholic program is to inspire in young people a true longing for holiness through spiritual growth in an age appropriate and fun atmosphere. Christ Lutheran Church ice cream social is July 21

Christ Lutheran Church, 2220 10th Ave. N., will hold its annual ice cream social from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on July 21 at the church. The menu includes loose-meat sandwiches, potato salad, pie, homemade ice cream and a beverage.

Aglow to meet July 20 at Fort Dodge Public Library

Aglow International of Fort Dodge & Surrounding Area will host Kimberly Hembry, who will share a message titled “that’s just who I am,” at 10 a.m. July 20 at the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave. Hembry is a wife and a mother of three children who enjoys leading Bible study for young women. Handbell ensemble to perform on July 22 at First United Methodist

First United Methodist to host handbell ensemble July 22 Strikepoint, one of the world’s top handbell ensembles, will perform at 7 p.m. July 22 at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. 10th St. Admission is free, but a $10 to $15 donation is suggested. Movie premiere to be held at EG church on Friday

EAGLE GROVE — First Baptist Church of Eagle Grove will be premiering a movie called “The Follower” at 7 p.m. Friday at the church, 1210 S. Commercial, Eagle Grove. The movie is a light-hearted comedy with one central theme: “God doesn’t always call the qualified but most of the time qualifies the called.” It’s kind of like a Christian version of the hit film, “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” or better described as a modern-day story of Elijah and Elisha.
