FD woman pleads guilty to drug conspiracy

A Fort Dodge woman accused of dealing fentanyl pills has pleaded guilty to a federal crime, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa. Leslie J. Fanning, 36, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of fentanyl, federal prosecutors said. Between 2021 and June 2024 she and others planned to distribute fentanyl, according to the Attorney’s Office. Registration for the 2026-2027 academic year in the Fort Dodge Community School District is now open and will continue through June 30. New families enrolling in the district must provide the required documentation at the time of registration.
