Preliminary steps toward creating a small park along Central Avenue will be taken by the Fort Dodge City Council this evening. The council will also consider implementing a fee to be charged when the Fire Department is called to lift someone up who is otherwise uninjured. Bank Iowa, which has a branch in Humboldt, announced that Jason Herrboldt will become president and chief executive officer, as longtime leader Jim Plagge plans to retire after more than a decade in the role.
