New siding and other improvements are in the works for two Fort Dodge homes as part of a grant-funded effort to spruce up the Third Avenue Northwest corridor. In July 2024, the city received a $1,508,548 Community Development Block Grant to be invested in that area. The grant was awarded by the Iowa Economic Development Authority. WAVERLY — Three local students were among 507 students named to the 2026 Winter/May Term Dean’s List at Wartburg College. They are: Makenna Kammerer, of Fort Dodge; Aaron Lursen, of Fort Dodge; and Jarin Kroeger, of Humboldt. The list honors students who earned a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or above in at least five course credits during the terms. Hosted by Main Street Fort Dodge, board members, local volunteers and business sponsors team up to serve a delicious and affordable meal in the heart of downtown.
