FD man faces child porn charges

SIOUX CITY – A Fort Dodge man has been charged federally with crimes involving child pornography.

Brian Skou, 26, of Fort Dodge, made his initial appearance in federal court in Sioux City on Wednesday.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Iowa, Skou is alleged to have received and possessed child pornography between 2007-2012.

Skou was released on bond and had his trial scheduled for Aug. 5.

If convicted on all charges, Skou faces a prison sentence between five and 40 years, and would have to pay $750,000 in fines.
