Blanden seeks volunteer docents

The Blanden Memorial Art Museum will host an informational meeting on becoming a volunteer docent. The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the museum, 920 Third Ave. S. Docents are community members who lead tours for area schools, businesses, and institutions. The Blanden is looking to add 10 enthusiastic volunteers to be cultural stewards from our community. This is a great opportunity for community members who want to make an impact but have limited time to commit. Fort Dodge Women’s Connection brunch set for Tuesday

Fort Dodge Women’s Connection will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Tea Thyme, 2021 Sixth Ave. S. Duncombe chili cook-off is Sunday

DUNCOMBE — Duncombe’s fourth annual chili cook-off is 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Duncombe Community Center, 510 Folger St. Bingo will be played in the tornado shelter from 1 to 3 p.m. There will be chili, raffles, monetary prizes and golden ladle. Duncombe Paint and Sip set for Monday

DUNCOMBE — Duncombe Betterment Committee is holding Holiday Paint and Sip at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Duncombe Tornado Shelter, 510 Folger St. The cost is $35 per person. Payment can be made by noon Friday by cash or check at City Hall or by Venmo @brittany-miller-36007 by Saturday. Snacks will be provided and those attending are welcome to BYOB.
