Ribbon-cutting set for Baby Box
The installation of a Safe Haven Baby Box at the Fort Dodge firehouse will be marked Thursday with a ribbon-cutting.
The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the firehouse, 1515 Central Ave.
A Safe Haven Baby Box allows for the legal, safe and anonymous surrender of an infant under the state’s new Safe Haven law.
On-street parking will be available on Central Avenue. The intersection of Central Avenue and 15th Street will be closed for the event.
