Christopher Taylor hired as Fort Dodge police officer
Christopher Taylor was hired as a Fort Dodge police officer by the City Council on Monday.
Since July 2016, he served as a correctional officer at the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility. He was previously a Webster County jailer.
He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he served as an infantry rifleman from 2011 to 2015.
Taylor is a graduate of Prairie Valley High School. He earned a diploma in criminal justice from Iowa Central Community College.
He will begin working for the Police Department today. He will enter the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy on Aug. 27.
