Tree removal on North 23rd Street
North 23rd Street between Sixth and Eighth avenues north will be closed to through traffic from Monday to Wednesday so that city crews can remove ash trees.
The street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on those days. Parking on the street during those hours will be prohibited.
About 10 ash trees along those two blocks will be cut down to help prevent the emerald ash borer pest from coming into Fort Dodge, according to Kevin Lunn, the city’s parks and forestry superintendent.
