SCHALLER – Authorities are investigating the death of a woman trapped under a skid loader on a farm northwest of Schaller that was reported Wednesday.

Karen Jeanne Terry, 53, was found pinned between the skid loader and its boom arm late Wednesday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident at 1931 Buchanan Ave. occurred when Terry was home alone, according to the Sac County sheriff’s office.

Friends had attempted to contact her throughout the afternoon and evening Wednesday, the sheriff’s office reported, but when she could not be reached a family friend went to the farm and found Terry, then notified authorities.

The Sac County sheriff, Schaller Fire Rescue and Schaller and Sac City ambulances responded to the scene.
