Reward increased for shooting suspect

The reward for information leading to the arrest of a Fort Dodge shooting suspect has been increased to $500.

Webster County Crime Stoppers is offering the reward to help secure the arrest of Davontrez R. McCuddin, 22, of Fort Dodge, who is charged with attempt to commit murder in connection with a Sunday morning shooting that seriously injured a man.

McCuddin is considered armed and dangerous, according to the Fort Dodge Police Department. Anyone who knows where he can be found is asked to contact law enforcement immediately.

The shooting was reported at 12:35 a.m. Sunday at 903 Eighth St. S.W.

Friends of the injured man identified him as Demontray Dungy. On a GoFund Me page, they wrote that he was “shot multiple times after someone knocked on his door.” He was initially treated at UnityPoint Health –Trinity Regional Medical Center before being transferred to a Des Moines hospital.

Webster County Crime Stoppers initially offered a $250 reward. The amount was increased on Friday.
