Iowa Central Community College seeks Hall of Fame nominees

Banquet set for Nov. 14

Iowa Central Community College announced that the annual Triton Hall of Fame induction ceremony and banquet will be held on Nov. 14.

The college is now seeking nominations to honor individuals and teams who have made a lasting impact on the institution and the broader community. Nominations must be submitted by March 31.

“Our annual Hall of Fame event is an important reminder of the role and impact Iowa Central has,” said Dr. Jesse Ulrich, president of Iowa Central Community College.

The Triton Hall of Fame, established in 2010, recognizes the best of the best across several categories, including alumni, faculty, staff, and athletes.

“Each person inducted into our Hall of Fame represents tangible proof of Iowa Central’s continued success in shaping tomorrow’s leaders,” said Mary Ludwig, the college’s executive director of development and alumni affairs. “Our current students can look upon our Hall of Fame inductees and know that they, too, have an opportunity to make a tremendous impact.”

The Hall of Fame Committee encourages community members, alumni, and staff to submit nominations by the March 31 deadline. Awards are presented in the following categories:

• Triton Humanitarian Award: The college’s highest honor, awarded for meritorious service and leadership that exemplifies excellence.

• Distinguished Alumni Award: Honors graduates recognized for preeminent contributions to their professions or communities.

• Distinguished Faculty & Staff Award: Recognizes former employees who provided exceptional leadership and commitment to educational opportunities.

• Triton Athletic Award: Celebrates former athletes, coaches, and administrators who significantly contributed to the success of Triton athletics.

• Triton Athletic Team Award: Granted annually to a former team that distinguished itself on the playing field and brought prestige to the college.

Nominators must secure the permission of the nominee and provide two additional letters of recommendation. Nomination forms can be accessed and submitted via the college’s website.

The induction ceremony will take place on the Iowa Central Fort Dodge campus, in the Triton CafE. The social hour starts at 4 p.m. followed by the banquet at 5 p.m. with dinner and a silent auction to benefit Iowa Central programs. Ticket information will be released in late summer.
