A man was seriously injured when his motorcycle crashed on U.S. Highway 169 south of Fort Dodge Wednesday night.

The Iowa State Patrol identified him as Kyle P. Breiner, 30, of Fort Dodge. He was initially transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center. He was then airlifted to another hospital. A report on his condition was not available.

The crash happened at 9:25 p.m. on a curve in the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 169 near Theater Road, according to the State Patrol.

Troopers reported that Breiner was northbound when he lost control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle went into the ditch on the east side of the highway and Breiner was thrown off of it.

Firefighters from Fort Dodge and Otho and Webster County sheriff’s deputies also responded to the crash.
