2 Fort Dodge men wanted for attempted murder

Two Fort Dodge men are wanted by law enforcement in connection with a shots fired incident last month.

According to a release from the Fort Dodge Police Department, 29-year-old Austin S. Ferguson and 47-year-old Jason H. Ferguson should be considered armed and dangerous.

Austin Ferguson is wanted on a charge of attempted murder, a Class B felony, police reported. He is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, weighing 256 pounds.

Jason Ferguson is wanted for aiding and abetting attempted murder, also a Class B felony, according to police. He is described as a white male, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 220 pounds.

On the evening of July 30, gunshots were reported in the area of North 14th Street and First Avenue North. When officers arrived, they located a vehicle that had been struck by gunfire. No injuries were reported from the incident.

The investigation into the incident has now led to the arrest warrants for Austin Ferguson and Jason Ferguson. The FDPD is continuing to investigate the incident.
