Lakendrick Mosley apprehended in Minnesota

A Des Moines man, formerly of Fort Dodge, wanted for first-degree murder has been apprehended in Minnesota, according to First Assistant Webster County Attorney Ryan Baldridge.

Lakendrick A. Mosley, 31, was picked up on Friday by the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office in Fountain, Minnesota, just southeast of Rochester.

Mosley is charged with first-degree murder for the Christmas Day slaying of 46-year-old Montreail Dungy, of Fort Dodge. He is being held in the Fillmore County Jail awaiting extradition back to Fort Dodge.

An accomplice, Darwin L. Green, 27, of Fort Dodge, remains on the run. He is wanted for aiding and abetting first-degree murder.

According to the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, the search for Green continues in Fillmore County. On Friday evening, the office issued a warning to residents to lock all doors and secure vehicles while police in Fountain searched for Green.

Dungy was shot in the early morning hours on Christmas Day in the 1000 block of 10th Avenue Southwest in Fort Dodge. He was pronounced dead at the scene and FDPD began investigating the death as a homicide.
