Webster County man arrested for sexual abuse
A Webster County man is facing a felony sexual abuse charge after an investigation prompted by “some health concerns involving a juvenile,” the Webster County Sheriff’s Office reported.
According to a release from the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, the department was alerted to the concerns on April 8 and the concerns “warranted an emergency removal from the guardian’s custody.”
Following continued investigation, 29-year-old Jordan Dee Andrew Webb was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree sexual abuse with persons under the age of 12, a Class B felony.
During the WCSO and Webster County Attorney’s Office’s investigation, a search warrant was executed on the residence at 1940 225th St., southwest of Fort Dodge. The property, according to county assessor records, is owned by Harvest Baptist Church and is used for its Harvest Baptist Bible College.
The Messenger reached out to the college on Tuesday, and was told that Webb is neither a student at the college nor an employee of the college or church.
“We, as a ministry, are currently ministering to his family,” the response from Harvest Baptist Bible College said. “We are allowing the law to investigate all allegations against Jordan.”
According to a speeding ticket Webb received in April 2015, he has listed his address as 1940 225th St. for at least the last seven years.
Webb has been booked into the Webster County Jail, where he is being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 6.
The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the WCSO or Webster County Crime Stoppers by calling 515-573-1444.
