One injured in Monday crash on Kenyon Road Bridge

Fort Dodge firefighters and paramedics work to ease the injured driver out of a vehicle following a crash late Monday afternoon on the Kenyon Road Bridge just west of Eighth Street. The driver was taken to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center. The GMC Yukon was apparently struck from behind by a Chevrolet pickup in the eastbound lanes of the bridge. The crash happened at 4:36 p.m. The driver of the Yukon was the only person injured. Eastbound traffic on the bridge was reduced to one lane.The Fort Dodge police and fire departments responded.
