A skid loader and a vehicle with a big brush on it move in opposite directions Monday afternoon as crews from Fort Dodge Asphalt Co. prepare to resurface Eighth Street between Central Avenue and First Avenue North. The old asphalt surface was removed in a process called milling. Fresh asphalt will be put down on the road base that was revealed after the old asphalt was milled off.
