The driver of this Toyota SUV was taken to UnityPoint Health - Trinity Regional Medical Center following a collision at U.S. Highway 169 and 170th Street at about noon Friday. Officers at the scene said the Toyota was southbound on U.S. Highway 169 attempting to turn east onto 170th Street when it collided nearly head-on with the Chevrolet Malibu shown at right, which was northbound on the highway. The driver of the Chevrolet was treated at the scene for lacerations, but was not taken to the hospital. The crash was under investigation by Webster County sheriff’s deputies Friday afternoon. The Barnum and Fort Dodge fire departments, Fort Dodge police and Iowa State Patrol also responded.
