FORT DODGE — A Time for Angels will be held at 1:30 p.m. SUNDAY at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 239 N. 11th St. The program is for people who have lost a loved one during the past year. Register by calling 576-7128.

FORT DODGE — Blanden Memorial Art Museum, 920 Third Ave. S., is holding First Free Saturday family art-making from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. SATURDAY. On a come and go basis, family groups of adults and children together are welcome to visit the Blanden where an area will be set up for social and creative fun. Groups larger than five must RSVP online or call ahead. Feewill donations will be accepted to purchase a gift card for a local food bank.

FORT DODGE — Lutheran Family Services of Iowa, 230 Ninth Ave. N., is holding a Christmas Open House at 2 p.m. SUNDAY.

FORT DODGE — The Webster County Genealogical Society will hold its holiday open house from 10 a.m. to noon on SATURDAY in Room 134 of the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave. Refreshments will be served. There will be a drawing for a door prize.

FORT DODGE — Lights at Kennedy is 6 to 9 p.m. TODAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY at Kennedy Park Campground, 1415 Nelson Ave. Cost is $5 per vehicle. Profits will be donated to the Back Pack Buddies program. Santa Clause will be handing out candy canes.

FORT DODGE – The First Covenant Church Choir will perform its Christmas Cantata ”There is a Great Joy Coming” at 5 p.m. SATURDAY and 10:30 a.m. SUNDAY at the church, 201 Ave. H.

FORT DODGE — Iowa Central Community College Holiday Concert is 7 p.m. TODAY in Decker Auditorium on the Iowa Central Community College campus. Admission is free.

FORT DODGE — Fort Dodge Senior High Instrumental Winter Concert is 2 p.m. SUNDAY in the Fort Dodge Middle School auditorium, 800 N. 32nd St.

FORT DODGE — St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1007 First Ave. S., will have a special Advent service at 10 a.m. on SUNDAY. The St. Mark’s band — Ica McMahon on flute, Stephen Kelleher on guitar, Patrick Kelleher on bass, and Denis Kelleher on drums — will perform.

FORT DODGE — The Trinity Singers of Trinity United Methodist Church will present the annual Christmas Cantata at 5:30 p.m. SATURDAY and 9:30 a.m. SUNDAY at the church, 838 N. 25th St. This year’s cantata is titled “Who’s That Baby?”

FORT DODGE — Hawkeye Community Theatre, 521 N. 12th St., presents “Mother Goose’s Golden Christmas” at 7 p.m. TODAY and 2 and 7 p.m. SATURDAY. Tickets are $10 per person.

FORT DODGE — Aglow International is hosting Gabriel Sanders of Humboldt at 10 a.m. SATURDAY at the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave. Refreshments will be provided.

FORT DODGE — Santa will be at Lifeserve Blood Center, 11 S. 25th St. from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY. Lifeserve asks people to bring in canned goods, nonperishable items, and basic daily care items such as toothbrushes, shampoo and soap.

FORT DODGE — Soldier Creek Winery, 1584 Paragon Ave., is holding Vineyard Vibrations from 6 to 8 p.m. TODAY. Free live music will be provided by Russ Lachney. Food will be available for purchase.

WEBSTER CITY — The Kendall Young Library, Webster City, will present the movie “Elf” from 10:30 a.m. to noon SATURDAY at the library.

LEHIGH — The Lehigh Methodist Church is holding a Second Sunday Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. SUNDAY for a freewill offering. Ham and bean, chicken noodle and broccoli cheese soups will be served.

EMMETSBURG — Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Emmetsburg, is holding a bazaar and soup lunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY. Tickets for the soup lunch are $8. Carryout soup will be available.

HUMBOLDT — St. Mary School second annual craft and vendor show is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. SATURDAY in the St. Mary School gymnasium, Humboldt. The event will benefit St. Mary School.

GOWRIE — Gowrie United Methodist Women will hold the 2019 Christmas coffee and bazaar from 8 to 11 a.m. SATURDAY at the church. Featured items include homemade noodles and rye bread, candy, crafts, cookie walk and white elephants.

POCAHONTAS — Pocahontas Community Chorus and Pocahontas Community Band annual Christmas Concert is 2 p.m. SUNDAY at Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, Pocahontas. Refreshments will be served following the concert in Holy Name Hall. A freewill offering will be accepted.

EMMETSBURG — Santa’s Workshop is 9 a.m. to noon SATURDAY at the VFW, Emmetsburg. Kids of all ages are invited to come secretly shop for their family members. Santa will be in attendance for photos. There will be a freewill donation cookie walk.

EMMETSBURG — Palo Alto Arts Council presents Classics at the Riviera Theatre at 4:30 p.m. SUNDAY. “It Happened on 5th Avenue” will be shown. Admission is free.

DOWS — Texas Style Jam will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. TODAY at the convention center in Dows. Bring a snack to share. For more information, call 515-689-3986.

POCAHONTAS — The Pocahontas Community Chorus and the Pocahontas Community Band will present their annual Christmas concert at 2 p.m. on SUNDAY at Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church in Pocahontas. Freewill offerings will be accepted. Refreshments will be served following the concert in Holy Name Hall.

HUMBOLDT — Zion Lutheran Church will hold ITS 31st annual Gemutlichkeit Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on SATURDAY. German ethnic foods will be served buffet style. The menu includes brats and sauerkraut and pork loin, hot German potato salad, potato soup, deviled eggs,chunky apple sauce, beet, dill and cinnamon pickles, breads, Black Forest torte, springerle, lebkuchen and pfeffernusse cookies, beverages.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 10 and preschoolers eat free. Dine in or takeout is available.
