Santa Claus is comin’ to town

Main Street Fort Dodge hosts ‘Breakfast with Santa’

Main Street Fort Dodge is giving residents an opportunity to do something more than just leaving cookies and milk for Santa or visiting him.

They can enjoy breakfast with him Saturday morning and spend time shopping with him during the day.

The Jolly One will be starting his day at 9 a.m. at Bloomers on Central, 900 Central Ave., where he will — and we have it on good authority from the elves — enjoy breakfast and maybe a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

His day’s trek will take him to a host of downtown businesses where he will shop, help customers select gift items for their loved ones and spread good cheer and much jolliness.

Main Street Fort Dodge is also warning shoppers to beware: the Grinch may or may not make an appearance.

In addition, there will be drawings and sales.

Parking in downtown Fort Dodge is also free. The parking meters have been bagged courtesy of Main Street Fort Dodge and The Messenger.
