A man wanted in connection with a Friday night shooting death in Fort Dodge has been arrested in Georgia.

Damion L. Chavez, 19, of Fort Dodge, was taken into custody on charges of first degree murder and first degree robbery. He is a suspect in the death of Mohammed Yaqoub, 28, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Chavez was arrested Sunday morning following a traffic stop on Interstate 75 in Lowndes County, Georgia. He remains in jail there pending extradition to Iowa.
