FORT DODGE — Teen, Ladies and Women Empowerment Gathering is 5 to 8 p.m. SATURDAY at The Artist’s Warehouse, Crossroads Mall. There will be food and prizes. Tickets are $5.

FORT DODGE — St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and Grace Lutheran Church are holding an Animal Blessing at 2 p.m. SUNDAY in the St. Mark’s parking lot at 1007 First Ave. S. Bring your furry or feathered friends on their leashes or in their cages to have those members of your family blessed. Bring a lawn chair for seating. In the event of rain, the blessing will take place in Taylor Hall at St. Mark’s.

FORT DODGE — The Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles will hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. TODAY and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY at 1018 First Ave. N. Proceeds go to the charities of the organization and to the building maintenance fund. Free winter coats for men, women and children are available.

FORT DODGE — Farmers Market is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY in the northwest corner of the Crossroads Mall parking lot.

FORT DODGE — Blanden Memorial Art Museum, 920 Third Ave. S., is holding First Free Saturday Family Artmaking from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. SATURDAY. On a come and go basis, family groups of adults and children together are welcome to visit the Blanden where an area will be set up for social and creative fun. Freewill donations will be accepted to purchase a gift card for a local food bank.

FORT DODGE — Soldier Creek Winery, 1584 Paragon Ave., is holding Vineyard Vibrations from 6 to 8 p.m. TODAY. Free live music will be provided by Duo Republic. Food will be available for purchase.

FORT DODGE — Going the Distance for Disabilities second annual Color Run is SATURDAY at Rosedale Rapids Aquatic Center, 1111 N. 32nd St. The race begins at 1 p.m. Cost is $10 per participant with children 5 years and under free. Register at hawley@iowacentral.edu or by calling 574-1910.

FORT DODGE — Holy Trinity Parish annual spaghetti dinner is 4:30 to 7 p.m. SUNDAY at Corpus Christi Center, 405 N. Eighth St. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 years and under. Tickets are only available at the door. Carryouts will be available.

FORT DODGE — Stage Door Productions presents “Fall Cabaret: A Night of Musical Theatre” SATURDAY at the Ringland-Smeltzer House, 1019 Second Ave. S. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and are available at Hy-Vee.

FORT DODGE — Hawkeye Community Theatre, 521 N. 12th St., presents “California Suite” at 7 p.m. TODAY and at 2 and 7 p.m. SATURDAY. Tickets are $10 per person.

WEBSTER CITY — The Kendall Young Library, Webster City, will present the movie “Secret Life of Pets” from 10:30 a.m. to noon SATURDAY at the library.

EMMETSBURG — Emmetsburg Main Street Community Theatre presents a fundraising event “Where The Heart Is” with Gregory Eichelzer performing “Songs for My Father” SATURDAY at 2206 19th St., Emmetsburg. Appetizers are included and there will be a cash bar for social hour beginning at 6 p.m. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $25, $35 and $50 and may be reserved online at mainstreetcommunitytheatre.com, on Facebook or by calling (712) 852-3485. All proceeds benefit Emmetsburg Main Street Community Theatre.

EMMETSBURG — The annual 4-H Penny Carnival is 3 to 4:30 p.m. SUNDAY in the 4-H Exhibits building at the Palo Alto County Fairgrounds, Emmetsburg. The event will kick off National 4-H Week. 4-H clubs wlll provide various carnival games for all ages including prizes for all participants. There will be a concession stand.

BRUSHY CREEK — The Brushy Creek Poker Run will be held SATURDAY at Brushy Creek State Recreation Area. Registration begins from 7 to 9 p.m. TODAY and continues from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at south campground campsite 67. North campground will also have registration from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Participants may ride out at leisure, but cards must be turned in by 2 p.m. at the south campground. There will be lunch for $5. Menu is pulled pork, bakd beans, salad, dessert and drink. Proceeds will go to Brushy Creek for equestrian camp and trail maintenance.

BADGER — Badger Lions Club Pancake Breakfast is 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. SUNDAY at the Badger Fire Station. All the pancakes you can eat will be served with sausage, eggs, orange juice, milk or coffee. Advance tickets are $5 per person. Tickets at the door are $6 per person, $3 for children 10 years and under and free for children 4 years and under. Net profit will support community and Lions projects.

EAGLE GROVE – The Eagle Grove Lions will hold its annual pancake breakfast fundraiser from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. SUNDAY at Eagle Grove Memorial Hall. Tickets are $6; kids 3 and under are admitted free.
