A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a Saturday afternoon shooting in Fort Dodge, according to police.

The boy suffered injuries to his legs that are not considered life-threatening, police reported.

The incident happened at 1:34 p.m. in the 1800 block of Fourth Avenue South.

No arrests had been made by Saturday evening.

Police reported that about 20 shots were fired.
