LEHIGH – A Stanhope woman is dead after investigators say she got out of a moving vehicle early Friday morning.

The woman was identified by the Webster County Sheriff’s Department as Margaret F. Garcia, of Stanhope.

Webster County Sheriff Jim Stubbs said the incident happened on Samson Avenue, just north of Lehigh, around 1:28 a.m. on July 19.

Stubbs said the investigation into the incident is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
