Travis Anderson, a U.S. Army National Guard veteran from Palmer, is presented with a Quilt of Valor during the American Legion 100th birthday celebration at the Palmer Community Center recently. Marilyn Block, pictured at right, presented the quilt. Anderson served his country from 1995 to 2007. He was deployed in Iraq in 2005. His wife, Kmberly Anderson surprised him during the supper.
