Search for missing Otho man is planned for Sunday

Volunteers will meet at Iowa State Patrol District 7 office

OTHO — A group of volunteers is planning a search for an Otho man who went missing on Dec. 5.

Kris Markle, 28, was last seen leaving Bootleggers Bar and Grill in Fort Dodge that night.

Volunteers are planning on meeting at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Iowa State Patrol District 7 office, 2437 235th St. From there, directions and search plans will be given to volunteers.

The search will be focused near Coalville and Kalo.

Anyone with an ATV or a boat is encouraged to aid in the search.

Webster County Sheriff Jim Stubbs said Friday morning that there have been no new developments in the case.

Anyone with information on Markle’s disappearance is asked to call the Webster County Sheriff’s Department at 573-1410.
