‘Carpet Brawl in the Mall’ draws racing crowd

Drivers steer their cars through the course from an elevated platform at the Tony Bacon Racing League in the Crossroads Mall. The day’s races, “Carpet Brawl in the Mall,” is part of the winter championship series. Club races are held Wednesday nights with warmups at 4 p.m. and races starting at 7 p.m., and on Saturdays with warmups at 8 a.m. and races starting at noon. They are located in part of the former Younkers Store.
